EFQM is a not for profit membership foundation which for the past twenty years has shared what works in business through a network of over 600 members comprising private and public organisations of every size and sector. EFQM applies its know-how and extracts outstanding approaches by engaging with executives and front-line managers.
The EFQM Excellence model is a non-prescriptive framework for understanding the connections between what an organisation does, and the results it is capable of achieving. It is used to structure a logical and systematic review of any organisation, permitting comparisons to be made with similar or very different kinds of organisations. It is also used to define what capabilities and resources are necessary in order to deliver the organisation’s strategic objectives. The EFQM Model assesses an organisation against nine criteria as illustrate below:
